Bektemir Melikuziev (16-1, 10 kos) from the Super Mitjà released a close unanimous victory of 12 rounds when Darius Fulgh dropped (14-1, 12 ko) on Friday night at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, in Las Vegas. The scores were 114-112, 114-112 and 114-112.
Bektemir fought well in the first four rounds, landing on the powerful body and left -handed hands that re -removed Fulghhum’s head. Melikuziev’s stinging body was key in the fight. When he threw his body, it could be seen that Fulghum was annoyed. Interestingly, Melikuziev moved away from throwing shots from the body when the struggle entered the second half.
However, Melikuziev started fading in the fifth round and struggled with the power and rhythm that Fulghum was set. Melikuziev suffered a bloody nose that looked like it.
Uzbek Melikuziev, 29, was penalized for being kept in the seventh by referee Thomas Taylor, who had repeatedly warned him to stop holding. Bektemir turned strong in the second half of the round, nailing Fulghum with repeated punches on his head. In the eighth, Bektemir developed a large mouse on his left cane from a clash on his head.
In the rounds of the championship, the SouthPaw Melikuziev tired with tired appearance could do enough to advance them with their shots of power. Fulghum had trouble landing his shots. He also allowed Bek to force him to the ropes and nail it with shots.
On the 12th, Melikuziev landed a hard body followed by a left on the head of Fulghum that put it on the canvas. Fulghum got up and fought hard for the rest of the round, but the damage was done.
It was generally a close struggle. The way Melikuziev and Fulghum performed, is as high as any of the two can go to the heavy weight division. It would not end well that these two challenge Canelo Alvarez or none of the three main contestants in the division.
