Boxing Results: Keith Thurman Stop Jarvis, showing Sydney’s power and decrease

Keith Thurman (31-1, 23 kos) returned his success to the ring with a third technical round of Brock Jarvis (22-2, 20 kos) on Wednesday night at the Hordern Hordney Pavilion.

The elm

Ex -WBC and Wbo champion, Thurman, 36, left Jarvis twice in the third round with great shots on his head. The referee stopped the fight after the second loss. The official stop time was at 2:19 of the round.

In the first defeat, “once” thurman landed a right hand on the head of Jarvis who sent him strong. He won the count when he went up again, but he looked in poor condition when the action was restarted.

Keith went to find the slaughter, unloading in Jarvis and struck him with a left hook on his head. Referee Soulos immediately stopped the struggle for Brock would not go up -this defeat.

In the first round, Thurman threw almost nothing, moving around the ring, trying to stay out of the youngest and most powerful jarvis range of 27-year-old Jarvis. In the middle of the round, Jarvis rushed to Thurman, nailing it with repeatedly powerful body features that clearly brought the aging of the ex -heavyweight champion.

Jarvis was loaded in a left hook that barely lost Thurman’s head to the second round of the round. It was a trait that would have damaged if it had been connected.

Thurman landed two shots of the hard body in the second round that caught Jarvis’s attention, it seemed to hurt him a little. The Aussie seemed tentative after hitting these punches and was not as aggressive as he had been in the previous round.

However, Keith did not do much to separate -the toughest features with which Brock hit him. You could see the big difference between young people between the two in this round. Thurman resembled a very old person.

In the third round, Thurman struck jarvis around the ring, throwing his hands powerful but very slow and left hooks. “Once” then caught Jarvis against the ropes and landed a perfectly placed right hand to put it strong in the canvas. Surprisingly, Brock got up from the defeat, but had no condition to continue fighting. Thurman went after him and finished his work with a left hook that put him on the canvas.

Lost speed

The struggle was the first in Thurman in more than three years since February 5, 2022, and he seemed considerably slower than he had in his last competition against Mario Barrios that year. Thurman has a lot of his game in terms of speed and mobility from then on, which will not return.

With this victory over Jarvis, Thurman is expected to face the former Wbo Junior Tim Tszyu champion in the summer in Australia. Tszyu has lost his last two fights and reaches a vicious loss of the third round against the IBF Bakhram Murtazaliev champion.

You should favor Tszyu on Thurman in this struggle due to the lens and old Keith tonight. Lack of speed and work rate would put Thurman at the mercy of almost the first 15 younger places. He has lost his game too much to overcome the first 154 pounds. From his performance tonight, I cannot think of any notable contestant that Thurman could defeat.
