Boxing Results: Hamzah Sheeraz offers a fifth round against Edgar Berlanga

Hamzah Sheeraz (22-0-1, 18 kos) stopped Edgar ‘The Chosen One’ Berlanga (23-2, 18 kos) at 0:17 in the fifth round of the main event in a WBC Super Middlewight titles eliminator on Saturday night at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

In the final minute of the fourth round, a combination of Sheeraz fell Berlanga. He managed to defeat the count of referee David Fields when a right hook of Sheeraz left Berlanga again when the bell sounded. WBC World Super Lightweight Champ Southpaw Alberto Puello (24-1, 10 kos) lost a 12-round majority decision to the former £ 140 Free Champion Subriel Matias (23-2, 22 kos).

David Morrell (12-1, 9 kos), won a decision to divide ten rounds on Imam Khataev (10-1, 9 kos).

In the last seconds of the first round, Khataev swinging Morrell with the right to the chin. In the second round, it was swelling under the left eye of Morell. In the first round, Tsutsumi left Ruiz for an 8 count of referee Eric Dali with a right on his body with a remaining minute. Once again, he left Ruiz with a shot of the body in the last seconds.
