Undefeated middleweight Eric Priest gave Tyler “Herc” Howard a boxing lesson in a ten-round win for the vacant WBA US Continental title Thursday night at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.

Priest, 15-0 (8) defeated ‘Herc’ Tyler Howard, 20-3 (11) over 10 rounds. In the first round of four rounds, Priest’s jab was countered by an oncoming Howard. Priest drew blood from Howard’s nose in the final minute of the fourth round.
In the fifth to tenth, Priest gave Howard a boxing lesson, using his jab to perfection as Howard came forward, but was unable to overcome Priest’s jab. The scores were 100-90, 100-90 and 100-90.
The referee was Ray Corona.
Super featherweight Leonardo ‘Bazooka’ Sanchez, 8-0 (6), impressed, defeating Joseph ‘Jaguar’ Cruz, 10-12 (6) in six lopsided rounds.
In the first four rounds, it was the southpaw Sanchez who had Cruz on the defensive with a flurry of punches. In the fifth round, Sanchez drew blood from Cruz’s nose.
Referee Rudy Baragan. All scores were 60-54.
Super welterweight Jordan ‘The Patriot’ Panthen, 11-0 (9) defeated DeAundre ‘Dixianimal’ Pettus, 12-4 (7) over 10 rounds.
In the first round, Panthen, the aggressor, did well but suffered a hairline cut from a clash of heads. From the second to the sixth round, Pettus came back well, countering Panthen, but not well enough to win the rounds. Both had moments in the eighth round, with Panthen overwhelming Pettus against him.
Rounds nine and ten went back and forth, with Panthen suffering an abrasion around his left eye at the end.
The referee was Thomas Taylor. Score 100-90, 98-92 and 97-93.
Super Welter Grant Flores, 8-0 (6), stopped David Lobo Ramirez, 17-4 (12) at 2:59 of the second round of the scheduled six rounds.
In the second round, in the dying seconds, Flores broke Ramirez’s nose, dropping him for a count of 8, prompting referee Ivan Guillermo to stop him.
Super Light Cayden Griffiths, 18, 3-0 (3), stopped Marc Misiura, 3-7-1 (3) at 1:43 of the second round of a scheduled four rounds.
In the second round, Griffiths landed a vicious left to the body and dropped Misiura, who was up at 9, but referee Rudy Baragan waved it off.
Bantamweight southpaw Jordan ‘Brazen Bull’ Fuentes, 3-0 (0) defeated Brandon ‘URIEL’ Badillo, 0-3-1 (0) in four rounds.
In the first two rounds, the southpaw Fuentes countered the aggressive Badillo. In the third round, Fuentes dropped Badillo with a right hook to the chin in the last fifteen seconds for an 8 count by referee Ivan Guillermo.
All scores were 40-35, 40-35 and 40-35.
