Boxing Results: Deonte Brown defeats Dennis Contreras

Delonte “Lay Em Down” easily defeated Dennis ‘Martillo’ Contreras by an eight -round unanimous decision on Friday night at Red Owl Boxing Arena in Houston, Texas.

Returning after almost three years, SouthPaw Brown, 16-0 (11) won in Contreras, 24-18-1 (22) for an eight-round decision.

In the first two rounds, Brown used a good fist as contractras, with high hands, made little in return. In the third round, Contreras continues to move forward, walking towards punching the fastest hands in his hands. In the fourth round, a brown right hook hit Contreras on the canvas in the last seconds, but referee Joe Rodriguez called it a slip.

In the seventh round, Contreras, in a corner, sinks and, when it enters, combines a combination on the Contreras chin, which cannot handle the speed of brown hand. In the last seconds, Contreras finally lands a couple of rights.

In the eighth and last round, it was all brown until the last half minute when Contreras landed a left hook, outside of Brown’s mouth.

The scores were 80-72, 80-72 and 80-72.

At the co-main event, Javier Martinez, Javier Martinez, Jr. 7-2 (4) lost a six-round division decision played in Wayne ‘Pretty Boy Bam Bam’ Lawrence, 8-1 (4).

In the first round, Martinez, returning after almost three years, was close to Lawrence. Both with identical records came to fight. In the second round, it was all Martinez, although the referee James Green warned them twice to keep them up to date.

In the third round, Martinez never stopped punching, especially overloading rights, while Lawrence tied it throughout the round.

In the fourth round, Martinez was warned of hitting behind his head twice while in a clinch. Another round for Martinez. Lawrence had little more than a Jab. In the fifth round, Lawrence continued to punch and catch Martinez without warning, but Martinez worked. In the sixth and final round, the referee Green finally warns Lawrence for his continuous participation. Martinez won another round with an endless blow.

The scores were 59-55 for Lawrence, 58-56 for Martinez and 58-56 for Lawrence. 60-54 KH for Martinez.

Lightweight Gabriela ‘Sosa’ Tellez, 4-0 (1), stopped Lindsey ‘Hands of Steel’ Ellis, 2-2 (2), at 0:31 in the second round of 4 × 2 rounds.

Tellez was on all Ellis in the first round, driving it around the ring. In the final minute, a right took blood from Ellis’s nose. Tellez had defenseless against the ropes in the second round when the referee James Green wisely shouted.

SouthPaw Welterpaw Alex Donis (1-0) left the canvas to defeat Andrew ‘Durango Kid’ Flamm (1-1) for a unanimous decision of four rounds.

In the first lap, a head of head caused a cut in the left eyebrow of flammm. In the second round, a fair advantage of Flamm on the chin left Donis for a count of 8 of the referee Joseph Rodriguez. Don you had a bloody nose.

In the third round, Don you returned well enough to make the round. In the fourth and final round, Flamm was cut in the right eyebrow to the right of Donis, which beat Flammm.

The scores were 38-37, 38-37 and 38-37.
