The head of the contradictory group of the United States and Israeli assistance defended his work after repeated cases of murder and injuries of the Palestinians who seek help.
The Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) boss said Newshour BBC World Service that he did not deny death near the assistance sites, but said that “100% of these victims are explained by the proximity to GHF,” and it was “not so.”
He accused the UN and other international organizations of dissemination they could not check.
A GHF Assistance System has been convicted by UN agenciesAnd on Friday, UN Secretary -General Antonio Gutteres called him “inherently dangerous.”
“Any operation that desperately civilian channels in the militarized zones is inherently dangerous. Food search should never be a death sentence,” the UN leader said.
Hamas’s Ministry of Health says more than 500 Palestinians were killed and 4,000 were injured to get help because GHF took over help distribution.
During a few days of GHF operations, since the end of May, dozens of Palestinians died in separate incidents on June 1 and 3, causing international condemnation.
Since then, the UN and assistance group has expressed anxiety in the nearest reports of the Palestinians who died near GHF sites in Israeli military zones.
Eyewitnesses and doctors have described Israeli forces several times, opening fire on the crowds near the aid points.
The Israeli newspaper Haarets published a story on Friday, in which unnamed IDF soldiers said they were ordered to shoot unarmed civilians near the aid distribution places to take them or put them.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged the report calling for allegations of “malicious falsehoods.”
In a statement to the BBC, IDF stated that “he did not instructed forces to firing civilians, including those approaching the distribution centers.”
It adds that it seeks to improve the “operative response” in the help areas and recently added new fences and signs, and opened new routes to reach the materials zone.
For his part, the GHF leader said that “100% of the victims are attributed to IDF – as best we can say that it is also not.”
In statements over the last month, IDF has repeatedly stated that they fired a “warning” from persons they called “suspects” or stated that they had threatened.
“We spend a long period of time, trying to understand what really happened when something really happened and whether there is a way to make it less likely,” Mr. said.
“In most circumstances, we were unable to determine what was happening.”
“People need to understand that this is misinformation that people who go to GHF sites are killed, we have no evidence of what is happening in the immediate vicinity of our sites,” he added.
Israel does not allow international information organizations, including the BBC, to send journalists to gas, which limits our ability to confirm what is happening on the ground on the territory.
Mr. Moore claimed that the GHF Most UN trucks were seized under the target.
The UN has stated that there is no evidence for large -scale assistance. When he said this, Mr. Moore said “UN is not honest.”
The volume of assistance enters the gas is still considered inadequateDespite Israel last month, partially softened the 11-week blockade introduced in March. Experts warned that the territory remains at the border of hunger.
GHF hopes to achieve milestones, providing 50 million dishes in gas, which will be equal to less than food per person from the start of operations.
When he pushed to whether the food really came to the people who needed them the most, Mr. Moore acknowledged that the operation was “ineffective” but said that 50 million meals were more than a month ago.
He said GHF should scale and hope to work with organizations such as the UN.
“The mission is clear. We just want to feed the gas,” he added.
On Thursday, the US State Department announced $ 30 million (22 million pounds) in GHF funding, which is the first known direct contribution to the group.
The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza in response to Hamas attack on October 7, 2023 on Israel, killing about 1,200 people, and another 251 took hold.
Since then, more than 56,000 people have been killed in Gaza, the Ministry of Health’s Health reports.
