Serhii Bohachuk is optimistic of staying on this Saturday’s card in Riyadh after his opponent Israil Madrimov pulled out of the contest. Former interim WBC junior middleweight champion Bohachuk (24-2, 23 KOs) will face Ismael Davis (13-1, 6 KOs) in the 12-round co-feature slot of the Tyson rematch Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. arabia
Even with Madrimov pulling out of the fight, Bohachuk vs. Davis is still by far the best matchup on the Fury-Usyk 2 card. There’s nothing on the undercard once you get past the Bohachuk fight, which is sad. Ishmael Davis has no chance of beating Bohachuk, but he’ll try before he gets mowed down in six rounds. Davis can’t hit and is only British level.

It’s a pitiful card aimed at British fans: the simple, ultra-hardcore variety. They aren’t too happy with the lackluster struggles, mostly national level wrestlers who will never be champions or even contenders.
Surprisingly, Turki Alalshikh did not draw the line with the promoters, and that will NOT happen. If I were the money man, I’d laugh the promoters out of the room if you offered me those same fights. These decks are so terrible that it’s unbelievable that any of them made it in this card.
Turki should leave the undercard and find some last minute replacements because none of them are worthy of being on a PPV card, not even a low level one. They are small room-type fights.
Madrimov suffered a case of acute bronchitis, which raised the eyebrows of incredulous fans. He will fight Vergil Ortiz Jr. on February 22 in Riyadh.
Bohachuk-Davis could steal the show in the Fury-Usyk 2 main event rematch at the Kingdom Arena if they go to war on Saturday night. The fight of former interim WBC junior middleweight champion Bohachuk vs. Vergil Ortiz Jr. on August 10 was one of the most exciting fights of the year as both were dropping bombs.
Vergil Jr. he was undone in the eighth round after being knocked down for the second time by Bohachuk. After this fall, Ortiz Jr. he got on his bike and went into survival mode for the last four rounds to win a controversial 12-round majority decision. Most would agree that Vergil Jr. didn’t win, but it was Las Vegas; it goes with the territory.
“I have a good rival, I have a good show. Of course, I am upset with) Madrimov. Now it’s good, I have an opponent, I have a show,” said Serhii Bohachuk Fight Hub TVreacting to the withdrawal of Israil Madrimov from his fight this Saturday, December 21 in Riyadh.
Ishmael Davis lost his last fight to Josh Kelly by a 12-round majority decision on September 21 on the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois undercard at London’s Wembley Stadium. Why Turki didn’t use Kelly as Bohachuk’s opponent instead of the guy he beat, Davis, is unknown.
That would have made a lot more sense, but even Kelly would be a poor choice. Bohachuk would destroy him as much as Davis and will certainly make his job easier on Saturday. This is a terrible mismatch.
