Former pitcher in Chicago White Sox Bobby Jenks died at the age of 44 years of the rare form of gastric cancer.
Jenks was a two-time All-Star jug for Chicago White Sox and was part of a team that graduated from their 88-year-old world series title in 2005.
He threw the last step of the match in the fourth game when White Sox beat Houston -Ostros.
“We have lost a significant White family member,” said Watt Soxy Jerry Reinsdorf in the statement.
“None of us will ever forget all that Bobby has done for the 2005 World Cup and the entire SOX organization in Chicago.”
