Bitcoin is lost in Washington, and no one’s looking

Bitcoin can be the most famous cripher on the planet, but in Washington, is suddenly the ghost to the party.

This week, the foreigners passed the real act, the law, firms there is entirely focused on the cryptoccell. Do not put the federal rules for stableco, the zygly-diggal tokens to the US dollar and used for instant payments. For the first time, Crypto has a legal foundation in America.

But heres the bull: the project does not mention bitcoin. And that silence speaks volume.

From spotlight to sideline

For more than one decade, bitcoin dominated any conversation on the crypto. It has been the revolution, the protest, gold 2.0. The policy warns, us, a Billionaires boxed, and the banks fear.

Now? The US government only made the most important crypto laws in the story, and did not include bitcoin.

For what? Because Bitcoin does not fit the Washington agenda. Stablecoins are the new thing hot in the salons of Congress. I’m liable to the dollar, designed for payments, and (at least) regulated. I am the type of crypto beggars can behind: useful, domestic, and trace.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, it’s messy. Is volatile, anon, and built to operate out of the financial system. Does not want approval. Don’t ask permission. And that makes a problem for the lighter they try to modernize the control finance of control.

Even as the bitcoin lady and companies street plies as Blackrock embraces as long assets along, Dr. Shicent. Bitcoin is treated as a relicking of the past ribty of Crypto, not part of their regulated future.

A change in the crypto power

The passage of the act of genius is a political pivot. Stablecoins have rules, protection, and the blessing of the federal government. They increase from bank, fictatin, and perhaps ready by any daily consumers to send money in digital rentals.

Bitcoin, meanwhile in the outside that they are looking for. Always popular. Also powerful. But politically orphanate. If this tendency by the future crypto can belong to the ruled digital tokens and not the dollar the decreential dream that the bitcoin represents. The Great question: Can bitcoin stay relevant in a post-genius world?

For now, bitcoin remains king in Wall Street. But in Washington, it has become quick a fist. In a city where the rules are now writing, which is a dangerous place to be.
