Bindi Irwin She opened for her health struggles a day before undergoing emergency surgery for a broken supplement.
“If you have good health you can do anything, but when you feel ill it is impossible to act in life,” Irwin was told, 26, Weekly US On Friday, May 9, a day before she was scheduled to go to Steve Irwin’s Gala at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, in honor of her late father, Steve Irwin.
Bindi missed the celebration event after suffering a broken supplement, which required emergency surgery.
“She’s going to be right, but surgery – out of all we were ready for, that wasn’t one of them,” Bindi’s brother Robert Irwin have said People In an interview announced on Saturday, May 10. “She has just come out of the other side of Endometriosis and now the supplement is going. Health is so important – it really is.”
Before his latest health battle, Bindi said Us Spent 10 years feeling “missing” as a result of endometriosis, a condition where tissue -like tissue is the lining of the uterus growing outside the womb, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). The condition often causes severe pain in the pelvis and can make it difficult, or impossible in some cases, to get and remain pregnant.
“Nobody knew what was wrong with me,” he explained. “Doctors were not the most useful, and I really started believing that it may all be in my head. And that feeling, that sense of feeling so lost and also claustrophobic in your own body.”
He continued: “It takes so much from your life and is very scary and isolated. I think my biggest message to young women, for women, is to continue fighting for your health. You deserve to feel good. You should never, never be in place in your life where you feel lonely and you can’t get help.”
Bindi announced that she was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2023, nearly 10 years after she began to experience debilitating symptoms first. She credits her family for helping her go through that difficult time in her life.
“I was so lucky, having such a wonderful family that helped me continue to look for those answers,” explained to Us on Friday. “They motivated me when I was at my lowest … I just felt ill on my time – it was every day of my life. I struggled to get out of bed. And in fact, the pain took the reins. My family was in the driver’s seat.”
He added: “So for all the girls and women – surround yourself with people who really love you, whether it’s your chosen family or family. Keep those people close and don’t give up because it’s very easy to feel like you’ve lost hope. But there’s always hope.
