In a great movement, LuckNow Super Giants (LSG) has signed the former Indian Bowling Coach Bharat Arun as his new bowling coach ahead of the next Premier League of the 2026 Premier League (IPL 2026). Bharat Arun has signed a two -year agreement with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Bharat Arun played a key role in conforming to India World Class Bowling attack and recently helped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) raise IPL title in 2024. His arrival indicates a great shake in Lucknow Super Giants support staff before the following season.
It is said that Zaheer Khan, the LSG’s mentor last season, is unlikely that the franchise will be renamed by the franchise, as his one year contract has ended with the IPL 2025. As they report, the old Indian bowling bowl contract is under a serious review.

On the other hand, LSG’s main coach Justin Langer is also sure to continue his role after a mixed two -year stage in the IPL. With the franchise of Sanjiv Goenka, which seeks to rebuild under a new leadership, Arun is expected to work closely with the LSG bowls not only during the IPL, but throughout the year.
A report by Cricbuzz says: “It is confirmed that Arun has had a two -year agreement with Sanjiv Goenka’s side to play a role that will require him to work with LSG players throughout the year.”
In the meantime, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have officially separated with their bowl coach Bharat Arun, one day after removing their main coach Chandrakant Pandit. This means that there are now two main training positions open next to the three IPL champions.
However, Kolkata Knight riders are expected to follow a proper selection process before appointing new staff. Over the years, KKR has created a strong reputation to help its coaches grow, with several former members of the staff such as Gautam Gambhir, Trevor Bayliss and Brandon McCullum to take higher roles with international teams such as India and England.

However, Arun’s departure from the KKR side was kind. With Dwayne Bravo who already managed some of the bowling responsibilities as a team’s mentor, both KKR and Arun sides agreed that having too many voices could confuse players and separated in ways.
In addition, KKR has always followed a policy of support for the career movements of its staff. Arun had asked to be released and the team respected his decision. Now, Arun is ready to meet with the captain of LSG Rishab Pant and the fast diaper Avesh Khan at the IPL 2026.
On the other hand, LuckNow’s Super Giants had a difficult time in the IPL 2025 season, finishing seventh place at the point table. After reaching the Playoffs IPL, both 2022 and 2023, this was a great step back for the Lucknow team.
LuckNow Super Giants played 14 games, won 6 and lost 8, ending the 2025 season with 12 points and a negative networking rate of -0,376. One of his biggest problems was bowling, as injuries to key pacers like Mayank Yadav, Akash Deep and Avesh Khan badly injured his performance last season.
