Beyoncé shows her support for people affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

The foundation of the star BeyGood shared through Instagram On Sunday, January 12, it is making a $2.5 million donation to the newly established LA Fire Aid Fund.

“Los Angeles we stand with you. 🫶🏽,” the post began.

“The fund is earmarked to assist families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires,” he said. r non-profit organization.

“My family is donating $1 million today to the relief efforts,” Curtis, 66, shared in an Instagram post on Thursday, January 9. “We are in contact with Governor (Gavin) NewsomMayor (Karen) Bassand Senator (Adam) Schiff and I will post often about where you can send needed resources to reputable agencies.”

Curtis shared a similar message in the post, writing: “My husband and I and our children have pledged $1 million from our Family Foundation to start a fund of support for our great city and state and the great people who live and love there. ” (Curtis shares girls Annie34, s Ruby25, with her husband, Christopher Guest.)

Curtis’ donation comes a day after she became emotional while discussing the wildfires during an appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. “I’m literally about to cry,” she said at the start of her interview on Wednesday, January 8.

“As you know, the place I live in is on fire right now. Literally, the entire city of the Pacific Palisades is burning,” he continued. “I flew here last night. I was on the plane, I started getting texts and it’s f-ing gnarly, you guys. It’s just a disaster in Southern California. Obviously, there have been horrible fires in many places (but) this is literally where I live.”
