Bengaluru police have officially confirmed that no FIR has been submitted against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (Rcb) icon Shot kohli Related to the tragic stampede outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, who claimed 11 lives and left several other injuries on June 4.
However, Bengaluru police confirmed that a complaint was filed against Virat Kohli by social activist HM Venkatesh at the Cubbon Park police station.
Venkatesh accused Kohli of “promoting the game through the IPL” and blamed him from indirectly provoking the massive crowd that had met to celebrate the historic victory of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru title.

The social activist also said that the IPL is not “not a sport, but a game that has contaminated the game of the cricket”.
According to the Ani, the complaint says: “ Bangalore RCB team kohli is the most prominent among those who participated in this game and encouraged people to gather in a particular place and provoked this tragedy.Therefore, we ask that, please, to turn Kohli and his team members accused of the firm of this trilate and taking actions. ”
However, Bengaluru police clarified that they received the complaint, but no fir has been registered against the former Indian captain. The matter is under preliminary review as part of the broadest investigation into the wealthy incident in Bengaluru.
The police officer stated: “The complaint will be examined as part of the ongoing investigation under an already registered case.”

In the meantime, as a result of the tragic stampede that took place during the celebration of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru IPL 2025 victory, two senior officials of the Karnataka The State Cricket Association (KSCA) has abandoned, accepting moral responsibility for the weird incident.
According to Indian Express, KSCA secretary, A. Shankar and the treasurer, announced their resignations through a joint statement. His decision comes a few days after the tragic stampede that killed 11 people and injured several outside the M. Chinnaswamy stadium.
They resigned after both KSCA and RCB approached the Karnataka Supreme Court, seeking relief in relation to the FIRs presented on the incident. The statement says: “Although our role was very limited, in view of the unforeseen and unfortunate events that have been deployed, we have bidded our resignations to the President of KSCA.”
On the other hand, Bengaluru police detained four people for their suspect in the incident. The arrests include Nikhil Sosale, RCB marketing chief, and Sunil Mathew, Sumanth and Kiran Kumar, who work for DNA Entertainment Private Limited, the company that helped organize the event in Bengaluru.
Police captured the four at Kempegowda International Airport, while they were trying to get out of the city. Later they were submitted to court and sent to 14 days of judicial custody as investigations into the tragic stampede.
