Ben Affleck credits Matt Damon for keeping him on Earth at Hollywood

Ben Affleck becomes real for having a bff Matt Damon By his side throughout his career in Hollywood.

Affleck, 52, opened for the duo’s bond When appearing on the episode Wednesday, April 30, of Travis and Jason Kelce“New Heights” podcast. Travis, 35, wondered what it was like to live with Damon, 54, as they tried to do it greatly.

“We just f *** ing dumb enough to think it would work out for us,” flir an affleck. “That’s part of the gift of being young is that you don’t really see that this might end badly, as it may not work.”

Affleck noted that having Damon around gave him a different perspective in the light. “I see many other people who have had success and the light turns on you, and suddenly, it’s a very different day -to -day experience,” he continued. “People behave differently, and S *** is strange. Especially at the beginning of that transformation (to Stardom). And I really credited my ability to kind of stay free to get my best friend who does it too and be able to (say), ‘Are this bananas f *** ing or what?’”

While it may be easy for other people to “kiss your ass,” Affleck noted that a lifelong friend will keep him real.

When the actor asked if the Kelce brothers Had a similar experience As they adapted to his NFL fame, Travis said he was pleased to have Jason, 37, as an example.

“I was lucky to have had to follow the footsteps of this guy,” he said of his older brother. “I was just doing whatever yf *** he did and I benefited from it (he) already preparing the way for me.”

Travis also noted that he appreciated the ability to “bounce things off each other” even though he was on different teams. (Jason retired from Philadelphia Eagles in 2024 after 13 years.)

Meanwhile, Affleck and Damon have been honest about their friendship throughout their careers. Affleck admitted Wednesday, however, that one thing he is tired of hearing in terms of his best pal.

“I went to the (Accountant 2) Premiere, every interviewer (raised Abs Matt), ”banter an affleck on the podcast.” At the same time he got shape… and out there flies his nuts away. But it looks good, it’s not easy when you touch 50. ”
