Scotland continued to begin unbeaten in the World Cup with a safe and comfortable victory over Belarus in Hungary.
The game was played in surrealistic conditions at the door closed in a neutral place, as Belarus is banned from participating in home parties in his own country due to the support of his government for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Scotland saw almost the whole ball, they had 82% possession in the first half, but they had Angus Gunn to thank the key savings, while the game was unpleasant.
Che Adams then opened the score with his tenth goal for his country, and became an excellent header in the goal of Scott Mctominay.
Billy Gilmour, McTominay Naples teammate, won a stick, and Ben Gannon-Doak excelled on the left before a own goal doubled the leadership on Steve Clarke’s side.
Another good ball of Adams found Gilmour attacking the distant post, and Zakhar Volkov returned to the head.
Scotland watched the game easily, with Adams firing a shot off the line and had four points from the two opening games to share an almost identical record with Denmark, who was a 3-0 winner in Greece.
