Behind the scenes on tour when she stands for immigrants in the US

“And then I went into poetry and started reading a little about Leonard Cohen and Walt Whitman and Bob Dylan, trying to understand how English works in writing songs. I think I got well.”

Recently, she has been reflecting on this experience, its adoption in America and how it contrasts with the Trump administration to immigrants.

Taking Grammy for the best Latin pop -album earlier this year, she directly turned to the situation.

“I want to devote this award to all my brothers and sisters of immigrants in this country. You love, you are worth it and I will always fight you,” she said.

“It means living in constant fear,” she says. ‘And it hurts to see.

“And I try to show them that there is no perfect show. It’s okay to be mistaken.”
