BCCI introduces colossal changes in the structure of the domestic cricket, the Duleep trophy returns to zonal format

The Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) has taken place in some important changes in the domestic cricket. There are some changes in the structure of the prestigious Duleep Trophy, as the tournament returns to its original format in which it was previously played.

Changes have been made to ensure that players in each corner of the country have the same chance of doing it to the senior team. Apart from these changes, there are some adjustments to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Vijay Hazarer Trophy.

There are also some good news for BCCI scorers who work hard during the game days. The new council’s new decision has led to a bit of motivation ahead of the next domestic season.

Duleep Trophy in its original format

According to PTI, the BCCI has decided to sound in some important changes for the next domestic parties. The Duleep Trophy will now return to its original format, which was the zonal format.

The tournament was played in a different format last season with four teams: India A, India B, India C and India D – Playing one another to win the coveted title. The four teams were chosen by the national selectors and was composed of the best 60 players in the country.

However, the tournament will now be played in its original format and five teams from different areas will participate. The five participating teams will be the north, the southern area, the east, the west and the central area.

The teams will be selected by the Presidents of the State Selection Committee instead of the national selectors, who chose the four teams last year. It is a great decision of the Council, as the Council aims to provide equality of opportunity to players in each part of the country.

Groups of plates to Smat and VHT

Apart from the change in the structure of the Duleep Trophy, there are also some changes in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The lower team of the six groups will play the group of plates for next season of the tournament.

The structure is similar to that of the Ranji Trophy where some teams in the plate group play against each other and the first two teams in this group are ranked to play the elite group next season. The two lower teams are relegated from the elite group to the group of plates.

The Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy and the Vijay Hazarere trophy will have the same structure from now on. The decision was made after seeing the big difference between the lowest and lowest teams of the last seasons.

The big difference between some of the teams has resulted in the games unilateral and some of the teams create several records. Therefore, the BCCI has decided to reduce the difference between several sides.

BCCI scorers to receive uniform matches

In case of encouraging news for BCCI scorers, they will receive a uniform match of 15,000 from the state units for all the international matches that host them. The news has provided relief for workers working day by day during the parties.

The scorers have been deprived of salary on many occasions and have also requested the Council no. sometimes highlighting their problems. The BCCI has finally heard them, which is an encouraging sign.
