On Wednesday, July 23, a Times of India (Toi) journalist revealed that the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) agreed to attend the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Dhaka.

PCB attempted to press the BCCI

Previously, it was informed by India that the Asia Cup 2025 is in danger, as the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) has refused to attend the Asian Cricket Board meeting (ACC) in Dhaka.

The BCCI demanded that the ACC meeting move out of Bangladesh due to the close political relations between India and Bangladesh, but the President of the ACC and the PCB, Mohsin Naqvi, was forceful for Dhaka’s meeting.

The PCB tried to pressure on BCCI on the issues of the Asia Cup holding the meeting in Dhaka even after the Indian Cricket Board received the support of Sri Lanka, Oman and Afghanistan.

BCCI agrees to attend Dhaka online meeting

However, the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) has been forced to change its position and is now planned to attend the Asian Cricket Board meeting (ACC) in Dhaka.

A toi journalist confirmed that BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla will attend the ACC meeting on Thursday, July 24, to discuss the affairs of the Asia Cup 2025.

Above all, the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI), Roger Binny, recently turned 70, the senior age limit for any BCCI office bearer, according to the BCCI Constitution approved by the Supreme Court, and the Vice President, Rajeev Shukla, is likely to be chosen.

Aminul Islam Bulbul Welcome Mohsin Naqvi to Dhaka

Recently, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) shared a publication in X, stating that BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul was hosted by PCB Mohsin Naqvi’s head with a bouquet of flowers in Dhaka.

“The President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Aminul Islam Bulbul, hosted Asian Cricket President Mohsin Naqvi, with a bouquet of flowers. Mr. Naqvi arrived in Dhaka before the ACC’s annual general meeting, marking a significant moment for Asian cricket,” said BCB.

According to a report to Cricfrenzy, Aminul Islam Bulbul and Mohsin Naqvi met with the Bangladesh counselor to the Youth and Sport Ministries, and the local government, Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan.

At the meeting, there was a “constructive discussion” focused on the strengthening of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Above all, both teams are currently engaged in a three -game T20i series, which the Bangla Tigers have already won with a remaining game.

“More debates on the extension of co -operation in higher education, including scholarships and academic exchange of experience and opportunities, the meeting also dealt with the importance of renewable energy, with a special focus on solar energy innovations and the exchange of practical knowledge in this sector,” read the Cricfrenzy report.
