Liverpool can replace Diaz with Rodrygo Goes of Real Madrid, who has been closely linked to a transfer to Anfield.
More relevant, Diaz’s output is considered key to Liverpool’s potential plans to make a British movement for Newcastle star Alexander Isak.
Isak has told Newcastle his I wish to explore opportunities to leave San James Park. The Sweden International scored 27 goals in all competitions last season, including the second goal in Wembley, as Newcastle defeated Liverpool 2-1 in the EFL Cup to achieve his first domestic trophy for 70 years.
