Barcelona’s game was postponed after the first team doctor’s death

The Barcelona League clash with Osasuna has been postponed after the death of the first team doctor, Carles Minarro Garcia.

The match had to start at 8pm (UK) at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium, although the club revealed the news of Garcia’s passage shortly before launch and confirmed that the party would not move forward.

According to initial reports in Spain, Minarro Garcia, 40, died at the Team Hotel, at the head of the party. He had been working at the club since 2017.

“For this reason, the party against Osasuna has been postponed and will be reorganized for a later date.

“The Board of Directors of Barcelona and all the staff extend our condolences to their family and friends during this difficult moment.”

The opponents of the Catalan Club, Osasuna, also published a message on social networks: “Osasuna wants to convey their deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Carles Miñarro Garcia and would like to send a warm embrace to all FC Barcelona staff, as well as their fans, at this difficult time.
