The nephew of the President of Equatorial Guinea, Theodore Obian Nguema, who was in the center of the sexual tape last year, was sentenced to eight years in prison.
Baltar Ebang Enggang, a former head of the National Financial Investigation Agency, pulled out money for personal use.
By the nickname “Bella” from his good appearance, last year’s married engengra received glory when he appeared in a traced video that had sex with different women – many of their wives and relatives close to the center of power.
The leak occurred when he was in custody, accusing the deposit of a huge amount of theft of secret accounts in the Cayman Islands.
He was found guilty, together with five other officials who allegedly stated the money as aid – the sums hesitated from $ 9,000 (6,600 pounds) to $ 220,000.
The arrest of Engeng in October last year and public humiliation were considered an attempt to destroy any hope that he would become the next president rich in the Central African state.
His uncle is the world’s longest president who has been in power since 1979 and appointed his son Theodore Obian Mang, his vice president.
Enggang is investigating such crimes as money laundering, but found himself in the infamous Black Beach prison in Malaba’s capital after being accused of corruption.
His phones and computers were confiscated, and a few days later intimate videos began to appear on the Internet in dozen.
The authenticity of the video has never been checked, but since the computer equipment was in the hands of the security forces, the suspicion fell on someone who traced it, perhaps to cancel the reputation of Engonga.
As well as sentenced to prison, the tribunal fined $ 220,000, the director of the Supreme Court, the press Hillary Mitoga quoted AFP in WhatsApp reporters.
