Sunderland v Coventry City
Coventry issued the first half, but was guilty of the lack of avant -garde in the final third, with Jack Rudoni and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto both of which went closely with the best opportunities of the opening period for visitors.
Instead, Eliezer Mayenda, a goalkeeper of Sunderland winner in the first outing, was the only player who seriously threatened any of the goalkeepers, who fell in the box in the 22nd minute and forced Ben Wilson to repel his strong driving.
Despite the dominance of Coventry’s possession, Wilson had to re -action in the 67th minute to keep his side only one goal on the tie, a smart salvation ensuring that he draws the net with a well -executed volleyball.
But it was Hume who got Mason-Clarke to meet the magnificent cross on the right of Milan Van Ewijk with a smart end on the lower corner-right, as Coventry’s pressure finally said.
