Babar Azam’s cricketing trip has made a dramatic fall. Once celebrated as a pride of Pakistan and compared to the legends of the modern age, such as Kohli and Steve Smith, Babar Azam’s career has taken a strong and unexpected fall in recent years.
The fall of the Pakistani Superstrella began when he was abandoned from the tests for a crucial home series against England, which sent shock waves through the Pakistani cricket. And more recently, Babar was out of Pakistan’s T20i template for New Zealand’s tour due to his bad shape.
He was also removed from Pakistan’s captaincy through formats. Well, Babar hoped to silence his critics with his battle performances in the Super League 2025 of Pakistan ongoing (PSL 2025), but his shape only worsened.

I could only handle one race in two games for Peshawar Zalmi at the current PSL 2025, leaving fans and experts in Cricket stopped. In the midst of this agitation, the owner of Karachi Kings, Salman Iqbal, has made a daring and sensational statement, with an epic comeback for Babar.
The owner of the PSL franchise said that when Babar recovers his shape, he will overcome all the great modern ones, including Kohli, and his name will be remembered next to the grains of all time like Garry Sobers and Sir Viv Richards.
The owner of Karachi Kings emphasized that Babar will become the best version of himself once he finds his shape with the bat and even becomes a larger superstar than the iconic blender of India Kohli. Iqbal said that Babar has a class that cannot change, and supported the old Pakistan captain for a strong comeback.
Salman Iqbal said to the Ary podcast: “I tell you. Mark you my words, when Babar Azam is again, he will be a bigger player than any other player in the world, including Kohli.
Propering to Babar, the owner of Karachi Kings, further stated: “It has this class element. When someone has class … the class is permanent; it cannot be changed. The style is never permanent. He will return … he will return with a punch.”

Babar Azam, meanwhile, was released by Karachi Kings ahead of the PSL 2023 due to a disagreement over his place of battle. Now, the team owner, Salman Iqbal, revealed that the team’s management wanted Babar to beat number 3, but he was not comfortable with the idea. As a result, the franchise decided to separate with the batter on the right.
Iqbal further explained: “ Mickey Arthur and I asked Babar Azam to beat Karachi Kings. But it was not comfortable doing it, and that’s why we had to launch it. The direction decided to have a complete review of the template; that’s why we let Babar, Imad (Wasim) and (Mohammad) amir ”.
Above all, Babar played Karachi Kings on PSL from 2017 to 2022. Of his 90 PSL tickets, he opened the smoothie 76 times. It has 3,103 runs in its name in 78 games with an average of 47.01 and a strike rate of 129.13. Broke 28 years and 2 hundreds to PSL so far.
