Umar Akmal has come out in support of Babar Azam, as the Pakistan star batter has increasing pressure on its bad shape through the formats. Umar emphasized that Babar Azam is still the best baptism in Pakistan, but it is time for him to take a break.
Addressing the hard phase that currently happens in his official YouTube channel, Umar reminded the fans and critics of Babar’s contributions to Pakistan’s cricket, and insisted that up and down are part of each cricketter’s trip.
However, at the same time, UMAR advised Babar to renounce Peshawar Zalmi’s captaincy so that he could fully focus on regaining his battle pace without the additional weight of leadership in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025.

Umar Akmal said on his YouTube channel, “Yes, he is going through a hard phase, but he is still the best Batsman of Pakistan. Remember, he directed the team proudly for five years. The form comes and goes, but the class remains forever.”
The Pakistani cricket even suggested that Babar should meet with the President of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi and the captains of the national team through the formats and ask for a two -month game adequate rest, both international and national.
He believes that the former Pakistan pattern has to spend this time in personal training and relaxing with the family, which could help Babar return stronger and more acute, just as other most important players, including Kohli, have rejected after hard patches in his career.
Umar said, “He should ask for two months’ break: without a cricket, just training and time with the family. When he returns, he will be refreshed and again in shape. Just as the PCB removed him as a national captain, he should also leave as the pattern of Zalmi. He has to beat freely, enjoy his cricket and play without pressure.”
In the meantime, Umar Akmal was referring to the recent success of Sahibzada Farhan as an example of the importance of players playing in positions where they feel most comfortable. He explained that Farhan is doing well because he has been given the role that suits him.

It wants Babar to follow the same route. Umar believes that Babar has brought too much pressure on the part of the team management, fans and their own leadership functions. And he believes that this additional weight has made Babar more difficult to focus exclusively on his battle.
Umar suggested that if some of these responsibilities rise, Babar could find their best way again, as many players work better when they are given freedom on the papers they enjoy. Akmal signed saying, “Farhan is excellent because he is playing where he is comfortable. When players play their favorite role, they act. The same is applied to Babar.”
Above all, Babar will be in action on April 19, when Peshawar Zalmi will assume multitan sultans at the current PSL 2025 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
