The 5th and last test match of the race Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between Australia i India it will not only include thriller and thrill of the best level but will also be remembered for a noble cause. Pink Test started the year 2009 when the Australian legend Glen McGraththe wife of Jane McGrath she died in 2008 from breast cancer. McGrath had founded the “Glenn McGrath Foundation” in 2005 to provide financial support to breast cancer patients and raise awareness about the disease. The foundation has partnered Cricket Australia that year to achieve their goals and it has been a tradition ever since. According to the foundation’s website, the Pink Test has increased 22 billion dollars to support cancer patients and survivors.

The first Pink Test was memorable for the fact that it was the start of the partnership between Cricket Australia and the Glenn McGrath Foundation. But beyond that, the match was action-packed with 5 days of elite Test cricket action between two of the best cricketing nations in the world. The South Africans arrived in Sydney after defeating the mighty Australians READ i Melbourne taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match Test series.
The Aussies started the match in a splendid manner scoring a total of 445 runs in their first innings. The English team not only won the match against the Australians but also humiliated the home team. The Australians scored 280 runs in their first entries. In reply, the visiting side crushed the Australian bowling line-up and made 644 races batting for 177.5 envelopes. 3 centuries came from English batsmen including a remarkable knock of 189 runs Alastair Cook which provided a solid foundation and centuries since Matt Prior i Ian Bell which helped England to reach the gigantic total. The Australians, in response, succumbed to the pressure and were easily bowled out by a meager over 281 races. England won the match by an innings and 83 runs.

The visiting team, in their second innings, held on with the bat in their quest to save their hopes of winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21.
