Australia announced a plan to recognize the Palestinian state in September after similar steps by the UK, France and Canada.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albonez said the move would take place at the UN General Assembly, and after receiving obligations from the Palestinian administration.
“The two-state decision is the best hope of humanity to break the cycle of violence in the Middle East and put an end to the conflict, suffering and hunger in the newspaper,” he said on Monday.
Israel, which is under pressure to end the war in Gaza, said he recognizes the Palestinian state “rewarding terrorism.”
Five people were killed on Saturday as a result of hunger and malnutrition, which led to 217 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health Hamas.
It also states that a total of more than 61,000 people have been killed in the Israeli military campaign since 2023.
On October 7 of the same year, Israel launched an offensive in response to the attack under the leadership of Hamas on Southern Israel, killing about 1,200 people, and another 251 took hold.
The Palestinian power, which controls the parts of the western shore of the Israeli western shore, has previously noted that the recognition of statehood shows the growing support of the self -determination of its people.
Albanes stated that the decision was made after his government received obligations from the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that Hamas would not play a role in any future condition.
He added that his decision comes after talking to his colleagues in the UK, France, New Zealand and Japan over the last two weeks.
