All is not well in the Indian dressing room as the rift between the head coach of the Indian team Gautam Gambhir and some of the senior players in the squad have now turned up after India’s defeat in the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) after which the visiting team now remains 2-1 on the course Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

The report further suggests that Gambhir has told the Indian dressing room that he has so far given the players a free hand to play however they want, but now he will decide the team’s strategy for each match and the players who will play it. not complying with the previously decided strategy would be given a thank you, which will imply that non-compliance will lead to their exclusion from the workforce.

Did Gambhir want Cheteshwar Pujara for the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy?
Cheteshwar Pujara he has been a pillar of strength for Indian cricket, especially in Tests. His record overseas, particularly in Australia, has been nothing short of remarkable so far. To keep the balance of the team intact, the report further suggested that Gambhir wanted to include the top-order batsman in the squad for their ongoing tour of Australia, but the Indian selectors ruled out the possibility for Pujara to join the squad. Also, Gambhir continued to talk about Pujara even after India won the first Test match in Perth.
Pujara has an impeccable record in Test cricket, having played 103 Test matches for the country and scoring 7,195 runs at an average of 43.60. His record against Australia is even more impressive with 2074 runs in 25 matches against the Aussies including 2 memorable double hundreds and 5 centuries against their arch rivals.
