The drone strikes from Moscow and Kiev killed two in Russia and three in Ukraine, a few hours after a short third round of ceasefire, completed in Istanbul.

Three people were found dead on the constipation of the house after a strike in the eastern part of Ukraine, and several people were injured in Cherkasy and Zaparetsia cities.

The famous Pryvoz market is the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Black Sea Odessa – also the victim, and several fires flashed around the city after the night, the authorities said.

Meanwhile, the Russian authorities said two people were killed and 11 were injured in a Ukrainian drone shot in the Russian region Krasnodar.

Another Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv also suffered 33 injuries on Thursday morning.

Ukrainian and Russian delegations met on Wednesday night in Istanbul in the third round of negotiations to cease fire.

None of the parties seemed much hope for progress before the negotiations began, which, according to the head of the Ukrainian delegation, lasted almost an hour.

The head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, said that both countries agreed to change 1,200 prisoners of war and that Russia proposed to transfer 3,000 bodies of the dead Ukrainian soldiers back to Kiev.

But no sensitive steps have been taken to end the conflict, which is now for the fourth year, and both sides accused others of deviating their ideas.

“We did not expect a breakthrough. The breakthrough is unlikely possible,” Kremlin’s press -secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

On the eve of the meeting of the head of the Ukrainian delegation Rustov Merova stated that the “priority” for Kiev was the organization of the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the President of Ukrainian Volodimir Zelensky by the end of August.

But Peskov poured the idea of cold water, saying it was “premature” for meetings of two presidents.

“They (Ukraine) try to put the basket a little ahead of the horse,” he said, adding that it is necessary to do much more work before such a meeting can take place.

Ukrainian deputy Alex Horenko said on Facebook that a separate meeting between Merov and Medinsky took place behind closed doors on the sidelines of the main negotiations.

Horenko said Merova and Medinsky have a “good relationship”.

The first two rounds of ceasefire took place in May and June at the request of US President Donald Trump, who repeatedly stated that he wanted to see the end of a “horrible, bloody war”, which was caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Earlier this month, Trump set a period of 50 days for Russia and Ukraine to end the war, threatening “serious tariffs” in Moscow if the transaction is not reached.

Russia has long refused to descend from the place in its prerequisites of peace, namely the removal of the “root cause” of the war, which includes Ukraine, which becomes a neutral state, sharply reducing its military and refusing NATO’s aspiration.

None of them are acceptable for Kyiv or Western allies.

“We will do everything to make diplomacy work,” Zelensky said on social media on Thursday after the talks. “But it is Russia who must end this war that it has begun.”
