The tournament follows a structured progression where the first two teams in each group advance to the Super Four phase, competing in a round format before the first two teams competed on the final on September 28.

The parties will be held in two main places of the United Arab Emirates: Dubai International Cricket Stadium (which hosts 11 games with a capacity of 25,000) and the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi (which hosted 8 games with a capacity of 20,000). This represents the largest Asian Cup in terms of participating teams, expanding from the traditional format of six teams to eight nations.

The five full members of the Asian cricket advice (ACC) – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan – they automatically qualified for the tournament. The remaining three points were filled by United Arab Emirates, Oman and Hong Kong, who obtained the grade through the first three places in the 2024 Premier Cup.
