Sony Sports Network has launched its poster for the next Asia Cup 2025, which will be played in the shortest format of the game. It is expected to be played later this year, the tournament marks the inclusion of teams throughout the Asian continent.
The poster had captains of large parts in contentious for the Asian tournament, including Suryakumar Yadav – the Indian Pattern, Najmul Hossain Shanto -, the captain of Bangladesh and Charith Asalanka, the captain of Sri Lanka.
India and Pakistan were engaged in an intense cross -border alterca in May 2025, which caused immense diplomatic tensions between the two neighboring nations. All the fanatics of the Cricket were strongly against the idea of putting Pakistan on Cricket Tournaments as well.

Reports claimed speculation about the exclusion of Pakistan from the Asia Cup
Express Sports speculation had previously suggested that there were doubts about India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup after the greater conflict between the two nations.
There was also a rumor between social media channels that India, being an important power in the world of cricket, could influence Cricket boards to withstand Pakistan’s participation.
However, before these claims were made, Forbes India stated that India would play in the Asian tournament next to Pakistan and should move the Indian tournament site to the United Arab Emirates.

Sony Sports raises more doubts about Pakistan’s Asia Cup participation
Sony Sports is the official broadcaster of the next Asia Cup and have recently launched a poster for the next event. The publication of social media seemed cryptic, as he aroused huge speculations on the probable departure of Pakistan from the Asia Cup 2025.
The promotional poster of the event did not have the Captain of Pakistan and, therefore, this has caused a widespread outrage and a confusion among Cricket fans. Although Star Sports may not have published an official confirmation yet, it can also be cited as a negative promotional campaign.

India won the 2023 edition
India appeared in the last Asian competition in 2023, which was played in the longest format of white balls in the game. It was held in September 2023 when India and Pakistan were placed in the same group.
Located next to Pakistan and Nepal, India advanced the Super Four after defeated Nepal, and the game against Pakistan ended in a draw due to the rain. In the Super Four Games, Pakistan faced a loss of India Arch-Rival.
