Arsenal stunned Real Madrid to reach the semifinals

Three goals in 13 minutes in the second half were enough for Arsenal’s women to annul a two -goal deficit of two goals against Real Madrid and the progress in the semifinals of the Champions League.

Alessia Russo scored on both sides of a goal by Mariona Caldentey in a 3-0 victory to set a draw in the mouth against eight Lyon winners in the last four.

Real had given the lead last week in Madrid, courtesy of goals from Linda Caicedo and Athena del Castillo, and sought to protect this leadership in northern London on Wednesday.
