In her Rising Star acceptance speech at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Friday, January 3, Grande, 31, joked about her youthful glow from acknowledging his “good friends Botox and Juvederm.”
She has since clarified that her comments were made in jest.
“Oh, my joke! My part,” Grande quipped Entertainment Tonight on Friday after the ceremony. “I’m still clean, but when I start going again, I’ll let you know. I mean it. I really want to be transparent as a beauty founder.”
Grande, founded REM beauty in 2021, she further noted that it had been several years since she had last used Botox and other similar products.
“I love it and I support it, but I’m still four years clean,” said the Wicked extra star. “Do you see the lines? I love them.”
Grande said before she stopped getting Botox and lip fillers in 2018.
“Being exposed to so many voices at a young age, and especially when people have things to say about your appearance at a young age, it’s very difficult to know what’s worth hearing or not,” she said. Vogue in September 2023. “When you’re 17, you don’t really know that yet.”
