Archaeologists have announced the opening of the ancient city in the northern province of Barranka Peru.

It is estimated that the 3500-year-old city, called Peniaak, served as a key shopping center that connects the early Pacific coast with those who live in the Amazon Mountains.

Located 200 km north of Lima, the site is about 600 meters (1970 feet) above sea level and was allegedly founded between 1800 and 1500 BC. – Approximately at the same time when the early civilizations flourished in the Middle East and Asia.

Researchers say Discovery sheds light on what has become the oldest civilization in America, the king.

The drone’s footage released by the researchers show a round design on the slope of the city center, surrounded by the remains of stone and dirty buildings.
