Griezmann, now 34, returned to Atlético permanently by 2022 after a loan during the Barcelona season.
His first spell with the Madrid side passed from 2014 to 2019 before moving to Barça in an agreement of 120 million euros.
During his time in Atlético, Griezmann has become the main scorer of the club with 197 goals and is in the eighth place in the graph of appearances of all time of the club, having participated in 442 games.
Its trophy with Atlético includes the Spanish Super Cup, the Europa League and the Super Cup.
He also played a key role in the club’s career in the 2016 Champions League final, which ended in the defeat at Real Madrid.

In August 2024 speculation was fed on a movement, when Olivier Giroud said he was confident that his former fellow from France would join him in the Football of the Major League, specifically at Lafc.
Giroud said at that moment, “One day he will surely come. It would be incredible, crazy, also to the team with Hugo (Lloris) after what we got for France. Playing the same team would be crazy. I can’t imagine.”
Griezmann turned away from international football in September 2024 after the elimination of France in the semifinal of the Euro 2024 against Spain.
In his 137 appearances in the Bleus, he scored 44 goals, including six during the 2016 euro, where he won the gold boot as the top scorer in the tournament.
Last season, Griezmann made 53 appearances in all competitions for Atlético, scoring 16 goals and providing new assists.
