Anthony Gordon has retired from the workforce of England due to an injury ahead of his classification of the World Cup against Latvia.

Despite being only on the pitch for 15 minutes, the 24-year-old was fell into the final whistle before heading to the tunnel.
In an official Sunday statement, England said: “Anthony Gordon has retired from three Lions camps after having suffered a injury during the Friday night victory 2-0 over Albania.

After Friday’s game, Tuchel commented on Gordon’s injury, saying: “It seems hurt. First, I thought it is the stomach, but it’s the hip and it’s not look good. It’s a bit worrying, yes.”
Gordon, who was suspended by the final victory of the Newcastle Carabao Cup last Sunday, also lost the first game after the international pause, a home team against Brentford on April 2.
However, if recovered in time, it could be available for the Selection against Leicester City on April 7.
The injury is a setback for Gordon, who was hoping to use Latvia’s party as an opportunity to file his claim for more play time under Tuchel.
The manager of England had expressed a certain dissatisfaction with the actions of the pair alers Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford after the victory of Albania, hinting that there could be room for changes.
“We look forward to more impacts on these positions,” Tuchel said. “More and more aggressive routes towards the box. In general, the possibilities came from the small races behind the line. They were not as decisive as they can be.
“Our wing they started were not as shocking as they could be in the club’s football. I’m not so sure why we struggled to bring the ball quickly.
“We lacked the ball. It was a little too much, not enough dribbling, or aggressive enough towards the goal. They trained very well, were decisive in training.
“That’s why I also think they deserved (to begin with), they were very good in recent weeks with their clubs. We will continue to cheer them up.”
