Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has announced an exciting home season program, with the most important teams in South Africa and New Zealand, which went to a series of various formats between June and August. This is a significant time for the Zimbabwe cricket, as the Proteas will play in Cricket of Red Ball in the country for the first time since 2014.
Zimbabwe will play two test games each against South Africa and New Zealand, along with a T20i Tri-Series with all three teams. The house season will start with Zimbabwe assuming south -Africa in the test format. After the series of red balls, both teams will join New Zealand for the exciting T20i Tri-Series.
Zimbabwe’s general director general, Givemore Makoni, called the calendar the largest international home in the home, and added that it offers players to compete against higher teams like South -Africa and New Zealand.
“This is the biggest international season we have had for years, and it is an incredible opportunity for our players to try -against two of the world’s cricketing plants,” he said.
“Welcome South Africa and New Zealand for both Cricket Test and an exciting T20i Tri-Series is a fantastic development for game growth in Zimbabwe.”
“We are looking forward to welcoming teams and a great show for our passionate cricket fans.”
Zimbabwe will take south -Africa in the first test game in Bulawayo from June 28 to July 2, followed by the second test from July 6 to 10.
After the series of red balls, Zimbabwe, South Africa and New Zealand will compete in a T20i Tri-Series as part of their preparations for the T20 World Cup next year. This will be the first tri-Series T20i of Zimbabwe since 2018 when Pakistan and Australia turned.
The tri-series will begin on July 14, with each team playing twice. The first two sides will fight in the final of July 26.
After the T20I series, New Zealand will remain in Zimbabwe for a series of two tests against the hosts. Both parties will take place in Bulawayo from July 30 to August 11.
