Anne Burrell’s Death is said to be the subject of an investigation as a potential drug overdose.

According to a new report published by The New York Times On Friday, June 20, which quotes an internal document seen by the outlet, New York City Police Department is investigating whether the potential drug overdose of Burrell’s death caused.

The famous chef was found dead at her home in Brooklyn on Tuesday, June 17. According to the document seen by The New York TimesBurrell was “found in the shower unconsciously and unresponsively surrounded by approximately (100) various pills.” Her official death case has not yet been confirmed.

News broke about the death of the food network star the same day, with family confirming that Burrell passed in a statement to Us Weekly.
