Suryakumar Yadav Spara controversy with controversies without a man-man-Handshake in the group match

The Indian-Pakistan Group Phase match in the Asia Cup 2025 caused a major controversy when Suryakumar Yadav did not shake hands with Captain Pakistani Salman Ali Agha before the game. Suryakumar and his teammates also did not shook hands with Pakistan players after the game.

Pakistan Cricket Board filed a formal complaint to the CPI, claiming that party referee Andy Pycroft had breached the spirit of the game. Above all, the PCB demanded its removal of the tournament and requested that it did not formalize the future Pakistan parties.

The CPI, however, dismissed the PCB’s claims, saying that Pycroft acted within the tournament guidelines. The referee had only transmitted a message from the ACC headquarters manager, and no compliance with the protocol had been made according to Cricket’s body.

Pakistan also threatened to boycott the tournament. However, they decided to play against the United Arab Emirates in the final group stage, arriving at the stadium an hour late due to a meeting between PCB President Mohsin Naqvi, Najam Sethi and Ramiz Raja.

PCB published the video of the Andy Pycroft Meeting Officials in the middle of the controversy of the hand

Pycroft expressed his regret for poor communication by the head of the Asian Cricket cricket precinct. The PCB also said that the ICC had agreed to investigate Pycroft for a possible breach of the code of conduct.

Above all, according to the ICC, disciplinary actions are proposed against the PCB for misconduct and violation of the regulations of the tournament, especially to register a restricted area meeting with Pycroft. No-Handshake’s policy is expected to continue in the next party in India-Pakistan.
