And just like thatThe finale of series marked the end of life for Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda – but how did the iconic characters say goodbye?
The Sex and the city Spinoff wrapped his story lines for the trio – as well as new friends Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker) and Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury) – During the episode Thursday, August 14. The end of season 3 began with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) Adjust to navigating life on herself after she divided from Aidan (John Corbett) and fly with Duncan (Jonathan’s cake).

The news broke earlier this month Ajlt would not return for a fourth season, with showrunner Michael Patrick King To claim to have had season 3 would be “a wonderful place to stop.”
“SJP and I continued to announce the news so far because we did not want the word ‘final’ to shadow the fun of watching the season,” he wrote in a statement. “With a big thank you, we thank all the viewers who have left these characters to their homes and hearts over these many years.”

Sarah Jessica Parker
Craig Blankenhorn/HBO MAXWhen Carrie takes herself out for lunch at the start of the episode, she has met an unwanted visitor in her booth. “They put a boy’s doll across any woman eating on her own,” she said to her friends afterwards. “Lunch with a side of shame. Believe me when I tell you it was true and I survived it yesterday.”
She is then refers to attention Made by the editor of her novel that she may not appear to be going to go, saying, “Apparently not only is it tragic for women to be alone in the past, it is also a problem in the future.”
After attending a Bride Fashion Show with Charlotte, Seema and Lisa, Carrie reflects on her marriage with big (Chris Noth), saying she feels rightly settled down because she was finally chosen. ” Eventually, she comes to accept that he could “be alone for the rest of my life.”
Following a mess of thanksgiving in Miranda’s apartment, Carrie returns to her town house in Gramery Park with a pastry in hand. She powered the remaining karaoke machine in her living room from a party and plays a song while admiring her new home and eating a spoonful of dessert without shame.
Later Carrie returns to the draft of his novel and Deletes the epilogue She was working on. Instead, she writes, “The woman realized she wasn’t alone. She was alone.”

Craig Blankenhorn/HBO MAXMiranda is holding up with her ex-husband, Steve (David Eigenberg), over lunch before thanksgiving, still Reel from the news be their son, Brady (Niall cunningham), having a baby with a girl he was hooked with “maybe twice,” in his words. Steve asks what the girl is, Mia (Ella Stiller), similar.
“How can I give this nicely?” Miranda’s wonders. “I’m afraid she could be an idiot. A venous idiot who sent a text to Brady and told him I came and broke his aura. Brady told her that I was bipolar, so now, he doesn’t talk to me either. … babies get babies.”
Steve admits he should not have “blown up” in Brady for the situation, promising Miranda that they will “count her” as a family. “There is no way that our Grandkid is not going to know us,” he said.
Baby drama aside, Miranda fears her partner, Joy (Dolly Wells), lied to having to lose Thanksgiving dinner because one of her dogs was ill, assuming instead that joy had been postponed by the “huge battle” she had with Brady about inviting Mia to celebrate with them. Carrie urges Miranda to call joy, and when she does, she learns that the dog’s crisis was not just an excuse.
While Brady cooks, Miranda is going to meet joy at the clinic, leaving Carrie to welcome Mia and her eccentric friends, one of which is named Epcot (yes, like a Disney Park – a joke that is repeated several times).
When Joy sees Miranda at the clinic, she gets emotional – but don’t worry, the dog is fine. Less, however, is the thanksgiving turkey. Miranda guests pass on the sides and a cheese plate, but once they all leave, Miranda is left to clean a big mess. (Mia’s friend, Epcot, bowned the bathroom, and for some reason, a considerable amount of screening time was assigned to the “plumbing misconduct.”)
As Miranda scoures the bathroom floor, she is surprised to see joy in the door. “You spent the holiday with my family, I can spend it with yours,” he told Miranda.
Kristin Davis, Handler Evan
Craig Blankenhorn/HBO MAXWhile attending the Bridal Fashion Show, Charlotte and Lisa come honestly about how their weddings have changed over the years. Charlotte admits that her husband, Harry (Evan Trades), “Our love life has not been what it was” in the wake of his cancer diagnosis.
The tide turns suddenly when Charlotte is back home prepping for Thanksgiving Lunch. Harry comes into the kitchen and announces “hard,” so they run away to the bedroom.
Later, Charlotte leaks back where Miranda to provide stuffing, forgetting to invite a prospective Suitor for Carrie. Mark Kasabian (Victor Garber) Happy to keep Carrie’s company, but Carrie loves it.
“I just hated the fact that you thought there’s no guy out there (for you),” Charlotte told his friend. “There’s a man.… He has a plane!”
Nicole Ari Parker
Craig Blankenhorn/HBO MAXStill working on her docuseries, Lisa gets a message from Marion’s friend in the company of Obamas production, who says that while Michelle is “too well known to be a subject” in the project, the first former woman could “consider reporting.”
Oddedly, Lisa embraces the handsome editor of Marion (Mehcad Brooks), which says they should celebrate over lunch. In spite of her “Crushing work,” Lisa says no.
“We can’t go for a drink or for lunch or go anywhere outside this editing bay,” he explained. “This has to relate to work. Only work. And we have to rile whatever this is back. He has to relate to work.”
Marion agrees, saying that being nothing more than colleagues would “ruin everything for both of us.”
At the fashion show, Lisa reflects on the progress and disadvantages that come with make a lifelong commitment as a marriage. “Someone needs to tell the sweet women, unknowingly that marriage is about a way more than the lovely dress,” he said while watching the models. “It’s about confusion, not knowing how to help and catch your tongue.”
According to home, Lisa reminds her husband, Herbert (Chris Jackson), she will always be there for him, until death makes them part.
Sarita Choudhury, Logan Marshall-Green
Craig Blankenhorn/HBO MAXThe Mogwl continues to get closer with the hot landscapor of Carrie Adam (Logan Marshall-Green), but she is depressed by his view that marriages are “absurd” and “waste of time.”
When chatting to Carrie at the fashion show, Seema says, “Adam stood there literally pissing all over the idea of marriage. He does not believe in him at all. His mother was never married so he has no reference. He believes all this is a joke.”
Seema explained that her perspective for marriage was different. “Ever since I was a little girl, it’s something I’ve been punching for.
Looking out for his friend, Carrie later asks Adam for his intentions with Seema. Although he may not be the marriage type, he insists that what he has with Seema is special – and could last “Yes.”
