No additional details of Ananda’s death were shared at the time.

Ananda has been survived by her sister and son Langston, 14, with whom she welcomed Harry Smithbrother Will Smi.

Ananda was best known as a host on several MTV shows in the late 90’s and early aughts, including Total application alive and Hot zone. During her time on the network, she interviewed the stars of music, including Destiny’s Child, BrandNsync, Britney Spears and more. In 2001 he separated roads with MTV to host his own talk show, Ananda Lewis Showbroadcast for one season. He also made appearances Inside. In 2020, Ananda revealed that she was diagnosed with phase 3 breast cancer. In her publication video, MTV’s personality admitted that fear of radiation prevents her from having regular mammograms, which can detect breast cancer in her early stages.

β€œThis is difficult for me, but if only one woman decides to have her mammogram after watching this, what I go through will be worth it. 🌸practice early detection,” headed the Instagram Post. “Share this with a woman you love. These 6 minutes could help save her life.”

Four years later Ananda participated in a CNN round table with anchor Sara Sidnerwho was too Been diagnosed with breast cancer. During the discussion, Ananda revealed that she had chosen not to have a double mastectomy after she was diagnosed with cancer. Her ultimate tumor is metastasized and her condition move on to Step 4. Ananda expressed her distress about not listening to her doctors’ advice.

“My plan at first was to get out of excessive toxins in my body. I felt my body was intelligent, I know that’s true. Our bodies are made great,” he said. “I decided to keep my tumor and try to work it out of my body in a different way … I wish I could go back. It’s important for me to admit where I went wrong with this.”

Earlier this year Ananda wrote an essay for Essence For her experience with breast cancer and sharing her advice for others who could find themselves in a similar situation.

“Do everything you can to avoid my story to become you. If I had known what I know now 10 years ago, I might not have finished here,” he wrote. β€œI would have been cool plumbing, practicing constantly, making sure my vitamin D levels are good, detoxing my body monthly and annual, and sleeping better. I would have been doing all the things I’ve been forced to do now, to keep my body from creating more cancer and getting rid of what it has already done.
