In the world of highly Indian domestic cricket’s high bet, where physical skill complies with mental resilience, Vishal Chithrakar It is found as a fundamental figure behind the scenes. Serving as a coach of strength and conditioning for the Mumbai Ranji Trophy TeamChitrakar has been essential for sculpting athletes who not only endure the exhausting demands of the game, but also protrude. His journey of being an ex-drawer to a mentor emphasizes a deep understanding of the complexities of the sport, allowing him to adapt training regimes that resonate with the unique needs of each player.
Under its orientation, the Mumbai team won a commendable runner -up position in the ranji trophy season of 2022, a testament to the effectiveness of its holistic formation approach. Cithrakar highlights long -term fitness planning for short -term earnings, focusing on comprehensive season strategies that cover both physical conditioning and mental strength. Its methodologies extend beyond traditional training, incorporating field activities aimed at improving general well -being, thus encouraging a resistant and cohesive team environment.
In this exclusive interview, we delve into Chithrakar’s philosophy, exploring how his combination of experience, innovation and dedication continues to raise the Mumbai cricket. Their knowledge offers a window to the meticulous preparation that bases the performance of the team, giving light to the aspects often overcome of athletic excellence.
Chithrakar: Yes, it is fine, so we take it very simple when taking it with a very simple strength and conditioning. If you see athletic performance, there are three aspects or two aspects as we have said for strength and conditioning, and the third aspect can be your skills. Therefore, the one who admits your best skills is covered in the following two parts that are strength and conditioning.
Therefore, the force is basically, again in the fitness part we say when we say physical shape, it is divided into these two parts. It is strength and conditioning, force means your ability to apply a force behind a particular body or while doing an activity. So when a player gets stronger, he is able to produce this force more while he plays so definitely that he again benefits the skills in a certain way and the conditioning is basically his ability to continue to produce this force and produce again that he can continue to produce so much. So this is in conditioning, so when we say that physical form, strength and conditioning entails despite how a player can continue to produce strength and again and the largest force he can produce. Therefore, it entails strength and physical form in these terms.
Chithrakar: Looking back my journey during the way I can transform myself in these years is that I always used to play as Batsman and a wick goalkeeper on the team and being a wick goalkeeper required me to stay in a certain way, in which I can move better, I can probably execute my skills and this made me more to make my whole fitness drill my fitness in order to keep my career at that time. So this made me a transition to a physical form as a race and throughout the trip I started with CNS, it only opened different portals to understand the game in different perspectives because I had only been thinking -as a player. So, for so many years, he suddenly made me think of the game differently and opened a totally new perspective. So, even this trip as a SNC coach has been very complete so far and also a transformation for me if you look at it. This is how I summarize my trip so far to SNC, as if it started with us the need for a certain race switch due to looking at finances at that time, but in general it has been a fruitful journey so far.
Chithrakar: Reaching the nucleus, as I said that strength and conditioning entails, looking at the appearance of the performance of your skill. So when I started with strength and conditioning what I understood was that the players train, but what really drives the performance was the player’s participation to do this session or do this program. What does participation drive? Since the players when they play the games are in the season, these are different things that are in their heads if they will play the next game if they play, if their performance is not up to the brand, is it sure that their place is safe for the team? If someone works, their ability to maintain the current performance that is happening.
And Understood that one thing that strength and conditioning needs to have that one driving force albe that one base from when the player involvement can come in more, plus even as a player and used to be very drawn towards breath work, meditation or visualization becuse and remedy WAS UDER 19 or Under 23 Around that time, and Had Received a Wonderful Visualization CD from my coaches and played it in my computer at that time and soutdenly like resonated with me like, and wanted Something of that lucky luck and am thinking Something but or no, not sure. So, once I started listening to it more and more. I started seeing this difference in my game in terms of trust.
So I started to deepen in yoga concepts, completed my certification in yoga from a university and also completed my ICB level, which is government certification during Covid times Psychology affects everything we do in everyday life and we always say that players who have to increase your concentration, you must increase your consciousness that must increase your conscience. Yes, but the question is how?
So to respond to the way I had to dig deeply to make sense of everything I had to say and this gave me the different results when I use these concepts with my CNS and there have been research work even in force and conditioning that show gains of direct performance when there is a clear connection between the mind and body mind and the connecting muscle that we say that our mind is capable of being able to form the muscle that we say that our mind is capable of focusing on their minds. Performance results that were obtained much higher than the mind is much higher than the mind. So, when the mind and body are connected, performance gains increase permanently, so they could find this resonance within the concepts, as well as the strength and concepts of conditioning and the and and concepts that may seem different, they may seem low intensity and high intensity, the base must be as great as possible and as stable as possible. Therefore, I could find it from yoga and create performance through strength and conditioning.

Chithrakar: I just put my observations and learn Ajinkya Rahane We had the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Iranian Trophy, with Shreyas iyer We had the Syed Mushtaq Ali This year probably this was the only season he played throughout my term. So, as I said with Shreyas, it is more than the flames of the clarity, any team you have or any installation you have tried to deepen, it has been the mantra that I feel that every time you take the lead lid.
One thing is that I liked its style that probably what has been able to influence the team is that thinking in terms of energy, such as I remember an instance when it was at the team meeting and I just mentioned how to think too. So, at the team meeting as long as I think we were playing against one of the most important teams. SO, The Clear Message by Hyme Was Okay, There Might Be a Star Player in That Team or That Might Be a Good Player In That Team No One Gives Energy to His Performance Because the moment You are Giving Energy to His Performance You’re Helping Helping Helping Rather Own Performance and That’s What’s The Only Thing That Is Going To Bring The Best Out Of You and the Results Are There To See, We Won The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy As Well SO STRUCK TO ME THATE ELITE PLAYERS ARE ALSO ARE
And speaking of Ajinkya, it has been like a journey of understanding what calmness can bring you. I have known Ajinkya since school days because we played together during our school time and then his cricket graduated at a different different level and we have always been looking at it as a player as a leading leadership material and with the calm that he executes on the field, he only brings this to the team in the way the team manages. Everyone respects him in this regard, because to manage a team like Mumbai, full of paradistas, you must have a leader who is equally respected and someone you can really look and follow and respect this calm that this attitude Ajinkya brings to the team, so it is a flamboyance in a different way is what I do a lot. He is someone who is very particular about everything he does as his training his recovery strategies. Then the thing is, players when they see their leader doing some things, but of course they follow him. Yes, so they do not need a second explanation, so it really facilitates my job as a SNC coach because players see that the same leaders do well, so automatically everyone starts to fall in the line and everyone is oriented to the performance because everyone knows what is expected, but the discipline is what makes the real difference as everyone knows that any team is taken in India.
