Fan theories can range from the credible and very likely, such as the “Pixar associated universe,” or “Elsa and Anna’s brother in Tarzan,” to the unbelievable, “Wilford Snoepiercer is Wily Wonka,” or “Jar Jar Jar Binks is Sith,” but that is perfect: An event horizon Installed in the Warhammer 40k unrest. This theory makes sense from the outset, when the title spacecraft activates its gravity machine and travels through a nightmare dimension full of demons and cosmic atrocities. That’s exactly how ships travel in Warhammer 40k, and it’s just the start of the links.
Event Horizon Occurs after the ship reappeared secretly after it was missing for years, with the whole crew dead, and as the captain’s log reveals, the crew themselves turned violently and killed each other. The captain, after tearing his own eye pellets, issued a warning, of course, to “save yourself from hell.” It’s a horrific bloody sequence filled with fast flashes of violence that makes it difficult to concentrate, and the first time to see the film, it’s hard to understand what you even see.
The rescue crew ends with the madness that spreads themselves, or rather, Dr. Weir (Sam of otherThe perfect star for a cosmic horror film), the horizon designer of the event, is going crazy and Captain Miller must the rescue ship (Laurence Fishburne). And he is, but after he sucks into space, weir comes back after embracing the strange and strange dimension like hell, and he mocks Miller by showing him visions of the dimension of hell. It is a dark and annoying moment, but it is also an incredible living depiction of Warhammer 40ks the warp, a strange dimension where there is no meaning to time and space, that happens to be filled with daemons and, in the workshop games surprise, is used by humanity as an intergalactic superior road.
The warp is a dangerous dimension that exists outside four -dimensional space but can also be driven by psychic humans called navigators using astronomy, a huge psychic torch road you think of as a cross -dimensional lighthouse, to stay safe while traveling through. In An event horizon. Those dangers include the gods of chaos, tzeentch, khorne, nurgle, and slaanesh, and amazingly, Paul Ws Anderson sci-fi Horror even suggests the influence of these beings on the original crew of the ship.
While the rescue crew from the Lewis and Clark watch the Captain’s original video, it is clear that the crew killed each other (that would be Khorne, the blood god, encouraging killing and destruction), but at the same time, it is clear that Slaanesh, Prince of Pleasure, was involved since some of the crew “enjoyed” themselves. Maybe the other two, Tzeentch and Nurgle, sit this one out, but An event horizon Featuring one other story beat touching 40k Warhammer technology. Weir suggests during the back half of the film that the ship itself was occupied by a deamic spirit, and of course, that is a huge part of the 40k Warhammer location where humanity believes that machine ghosts power each machine. )))
In the serious darkness of the distant future in Warhammer 40k, technology is highly advanced, but also strangely primitive, with technology priests rubbing creams and saying prayers for military vehicles before they go to war as a way to incorporate the ghosts of the machine within. The warp celebrities can possess technology and infect them with their own daemonic spirit, giving players the option of using spiral versions of imperium man’s own weapons against them. If that sounds like exactly what happens to the ship in An event horizonWell, that’s another reason why this is secretly a 40K Warhammer movie.
The An event horizon Fan theory may not even be a fan theory, and rather it was confirmed thanks to screen writer Philip Eisner commenting on Twitter in 207 “I played the SH*T out of 40k, so it was definitely an influence, conscious or otherwise.” Authors who went on to work in the games workshop returned to help shape the Universe of the Favorite, with an attempt to name drop the ship in one of the official godecs of the game, but the UK company prevented it from printing. Yet it is straight from the twisted mind behind the film that the Gothic location of the classic tabletop miniatures game has had an impact on the film.
When Henry Cavill A Hamazon Bring Warhammer 40k alive, won’t look An event horizonBut there is no doubt that the 1997 Sci-Fi horror, or not, is a perfect companion piece for the Grimdark franchise in the future. If you enjoy the movie, there are several Ddu Library novels out there that you should look at, starting with Xenos By Dan Abntt, the first of Eisenhorn’s novels, is not almost as bloody and horrific as the film, but he nails the dark, ominous feeling of something very wrong, very wrong that the first half of the film does so well.
The An event horizonFan 40k Warhammer Theory has existed since the film hit theaters first, over a decade after the games workshop was released A fraudulent traderthe first game set in the world of 40k. It has been an ongoing fan theory because it honors the movie and the gaming franchise, and does not demand one of them, and simply say, “Hey, this would be very cool.” The best fan theories are exactly, they’re fun, but this time, Sam Neill’s horror movie is also a perfect introduction to how crazy the 40K Warhammer installation can get, and given the cost of running a 3,000 -point competitive army well painted well, perhaps the most horrific part of the film.
