Amorim apologies to Man Utd fans as Emery Smokes in the dismissed goal after losing UCL

Manchester United’s head, Ruben Amorim, has apologized to Old Trafford fans after not won Europe League, despite surpassing Aston Villa the last day.

The 2-0 victory said that the Red Devils finished the 15th at the Premier League table, but without a platform to counteract its unpleasant domestic campaign, Amorim has committed to changing things in the club.

Speaking after the game with the microphone in his hand, he said, “First, I want to apologize for this season. I know you are disappointed with me and the team.

“Secondly, I mean thank you. We are very grateful for your support this season and I know it was very difficult to support us in many games.

“But now we have to choose. We are left in the past? Because this season is already in the past. It is over. We could fight with each other or we hooked and moved forward.

“Six months ago, after my three games in charge, we had two wins and a draw and told you that a storm comes. But today, after its disastrous season, I mean -the good days are coming.

“If there is a club in the world that has shown in the past that they can overcome any situation and any disaster, it is our club. It is Manchester United Football Club.

“Now I want to say forgiveness to my players too. Sometimes I was not fair, but I have always tried to be honest with you.

“Thank you very much and see you next season.”

Emery fumes to the referees

In the meantime, Villa’s head, Uni Emery, could not believe that his side lost football in the Champions League due to a referee error.

At 0-0, Morgan Rogers sought to climb a loose ball ahead of goalkeeper Altay Bayindir and score, only for the referee to blow his whistle for a free blow before the ball crossed the line.

It meant that VAR could not intervene and, therefore, the decision remained, with the lost villas.

Emery added after the game: “Good night. We started very badly today and did not play how we wanted to play. We improved and started in good positions and entering his box, and then we had the red card (for Emiliano Martinez). And after the red, the game was completely different.

“We needed resilience. We were doing it. We needed to defend and believe that an attacking opportunity would set the goal. We had it.

“It was a mistake, we know. And the referee also knows it. Of course we have to accept the mistakes of the referees. He knows it. And, of course, we are mistaken as coaches and players. And the referees can also make these mistakes.

“Today we have lost the opportunity to be in the Champions League, but being in Europe was the priority and goal. Being in Europe League is something we have to appreciate.”
