In an emergency return to sports, American skater Alice Liu A detour with a three -time defense champion of Japan’s Caora at the Figure Skating Championships on Friday night in the Boston Garden TD.
Liu became the first American woman to demand the title since Kim Meisner in 2006.
Liu’s victory marked the meteorite return after he retired from the sport in 2022.

“I mean, that’s so much for me and all I have survived,” Liu said after Victory. “My last skating experience, my time and this time – I’m so happy, I suppose. I am mostly glad that I will be able to put out two of my best performances.”
Once upon a time, Liu was considered an ascending star as a junior American champion if -if she won at the age of 13 in 2019 and then defended her title next year. She has done the dream of childhood, having received qualifications OlympicsHaving finished sixth in Beijing Games in 2022 and earned a bronze medal at the World Cup that year.

Then she left. Liu decided Skating is less joy And more work, and she wanted to focus on being a regular college student. And only when she went on a skiing and felt a surge of competition – albeit completely different and with much lower rates – she started thinking about returning.
At the beginning of last year, she made it an official with a mysterious position on social media. And although the way back to the sad variable sport was unequal, Liu took a big step forward with her second place in Glenn at the US Championship.

“I didn’t expect it. I didn’t have expectations,” Liu said. “I never have any expectations that come to the competition. This is moreso:” What can I exhibit the performance? “I really justified my expectations on my part.”
Now Liu is able to do for the US 2026 Milan -Korina Olympic Team
