As American Idol Shown for the first time in June 2002, the show, its critics and competitors has become the subject of numerous scandals and arguments.
Before the days of voting from an app for your favorite competitor, fans identified an unfair voting system during term 1 of American Idol when about 100 people used auto-dial technology to set nearly 10,000 votes each night for their favorite competitor.
Because not everyone had access to the technology, some said the system had given some idol hopes (whose fans were fortunate enough to be on top of their technology) an unfair advantage.
