Alexander OvechkinLady Nastasiya And their two sons, Ilya and Sergei, are shouting on Washington capitals this weekend.
Nastasiya, 31, brought her two sons to see the capitals challenge the New York Islands on Sunday, April 6, at Arena UBS. A sweet snap shared through her Instagram story on Sunday from Ilya, 4, and Sergei, 6, shouting on their fatherAs well as a cute video of Sergei watches the game carefully playing out on the ice from the family box seats.
During Sunday’s game against the islanders, Alex, 39, broke a large NHL record, which was once considered to be broken after being set by Wayne Gretzky. Alex became the full-time goal leader of the NHL with his 895th career goal, surpassing the legendary Gretzky, 64, called the big one, who claped and watched the historic moment from the stands.
Pictures of the moment, by y TlAlex showed diving on the ice in excitement immediately after scoring the goal before he was flocked by his fellow players to celebrate.
“What day, huh?” Alex told the crowd right after he scored his goal. “It’s a team sport, and without my boys, the whole organization, the fans, the coaches, coaches, we will never stand there and obviously we will never pass the great one. So, Fellas, thank you. We did it, boys, we did it!”
Ovechkin scored his 894th career goal on Friday, April 4, against the Chicago Blackhawks, where Gretzky was also present. (Gretzky scored his 894th career goal on March 29, 1999.)
“I said two years ago, when Alex is approaching my record, that I will be here,” Gretzky told reporters, by person, on Friday. “… I said it’s not an issue, it’s a matter when, when it breaks it.”

For Alex and Nastasiya boys, Sergei and Ilya are often in the stands that watch their father play hockey. However, the couple have previously shared that they will not push their children to follow in their father’s NHL footsteps.
