Alabama Barker celebrates all the mothers in her life – including her stepmother, Kourtney Kardashian.
“Happy Mother’s Day to someone who chose to love me as her own,” wrote Alabama, 19, through her Instagram stories On Sunday, May 11, in honor of Mothering Sunday, alongside a picture of Kardashian, who married Alabama’s father, Travis BarkerIn May 2022. (Travis, 49, shares Alabama with ex-wife Moak.)
“You stepped into my life with patience, care, and an open heart, and I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done to support me and guide me,” continued Alabama. “Your presence has brought comfort, strength, and so much love, and I really appreciate the role you’ve played in my life. Thanks for showing, listening, and for being someone I can rely on. You mean more to me than you know.”
Kourtney and Travis welcomed their first child together, Rocky Thirteen, in 2023. Along with Rocky, the couple’s family who is now in line include Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10, which Kourtney shares with ex- Scott Disick. Meanwhile, Travis shares Alabama and Landon, 21, with his ex-wife, as well as Atiana de la Hoya, 26, who is the stepdaughter of Travis by Moakler.
Alabama Barker surprised her mother, Shanna Moakler, with a bouquet of flowers days after Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian announced they were expecting a baby. Alabama also shared a sweet post through the story of Instagram for her mother. “Happy Mother’s Day to the woman whose love is the foundation of my strength,” Alabama wrote on Sunday, alongside a snap of Moakler. “Your endless support, kindness and warmth have shaped who I am in more ways than words could ever catch.”
He continued, “Through every challenge and every victory, thank you for your sacrifices, wisdom, and unconditional love. Today and every day, hope you feel you are deeply valued and embraced.”
Alabama’s relationship with her mother has been troubled over the years, with periods of alienation between Moakler and her children. In April 2021, Alabama claimed that Moakler had been absent from her life.
“My mum has never been completely in my life. Can you stop painting out to be an amazing mother?” Alabama wrote at the time. “Did your moms ask you to see you on Mothering Sunday (because) mine did not? I’ve made it secret, reality shows.”
Alabama Barker’s music video for her new song, “Vogue,” features some very special guest stars. In the video, which dropped on Friday, December 13, Barker, 18, is missing in the first scene. Meanwhile, Alabama and Kourtney have maintained a strong bond over the years. In April 2023, Alabama wrote a warm message For Kourtney’s BirthdayWriting through an Instagram story at the time, “You are the best court I could ask for, you are so caring and generous to others, you are such a family person and such a hard mother.”
His job continued, “Even if you don’t feel good or had a hard day, you always put your family first. You have aaa so beautiful, I wouldn’t want another stepmother.”
