Ajinkya Rahane’s KKR captaincy under dark clouds after RCB loss

The champions defending Kolkata Knight Riders suffered a shredding defeat in the hands of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the initial game of IPL 2025 played in Eden Gardens. It was the first game to Ajinkya Rahane as KKR captain and certainly did not go as planned.

While Ajinkya Rahane marked a fine 56 with the bat, his captaincy was not impressive, as RCB baptisms brought the attack on KKR bowls. The ex -India’s Opel, Aakash Chopra, did not convince himself with the decisions of Ajinkya Rahane and struck him due to his lack of proactivity.
