Agent with ice shoots a dead man who tried to ride the agents, officials say

Friday at Chicago on Friday after he allegedly drove the car into a group of agents.

The press secretary of the Department of Internal Security said ICE tried to arrest the man, but he resisted and went to the group. Then the agent was dragged by his car.

The agent who, according to the department, was afraid for his life, attracted a gun and opened fire.

The driver, Sylvero Vigila-Gonsalez, was soon announced dead in the hospital, officials said.

“At the stop of the vehicle, the suspect resisted and tried to drive his car into the arrest team, striking the officer and then dragged him when he fled from the scene,” the statement said.

In the incident, the ICE agent was “serious injuries”, officials said, but were in a stable condition in the hospital.

The Department of Internal Security said that Mr. Vigel-Gonzalez had a history of ill-advised car and was an undocumented migrant. They entered the country “on an unknown date and time,” they said.

A press secretary of the local police department in Franklin Park said he did not participate in the incident.

Governor Illinois J. B. Packer wrote on the Internet: “This is a developing situation, and the residents of Illinois deserve complete actual accounting of what happened today to ensure transparency and accountability.”

Franklin Park is a suburb of about 18,000 people near O’Hhar airport, northwest of Chicago. About half of his population is Spanish.
