“Age only a number”: Vardy is willing to show that people are wrong after the series A

Jamie Vardy has aroused his concern for his age when a new adventure in the A Cremons series begins, insisting that “age is just a number.”

The former Leicester City star, now 38, ended his long association with Foxes this summer after 13 memorable years.

During this time he became one of the club’s eldest, scoring 200 goals in 500 games. His account included 24 during the unforgettable head of the League League 2015-16 by Leicester Triumph.

Vardy joined Cremonesa in a free transfer earlier this month, linked to the recent Italian promotional. He was able to make his first appearance for them on Monday when they face Verona.

When asked if experienced players like himself, Kevin de Bruyne and Luka Modric can still deliver to the highest level after moving to Italy, Vardy replied: “You have to be one of the doubts. You are one that I will have to prove badly.

“For me, age is just a number. Whenever the legs do exactly what they used to and still feel as fresh as they do, I will continue.

“At the moment there are no signs that slow down, so I will continue and give everything for this club.

“I will learn Italian, but (for the moment) it is not a problem: football has its own language, with the ball,” he added.

Cremons has already made headlines at the beginning of the new season, surpassing AC Milan 2-1 before scoring Sassuolo 3-2.

With a view, Vardy emphasized that survival is the team’s first priority: “The main task is to ensure that we stay in the League and so was when I was in Leicester.
